Well, you have good pictures but I would still like to know how big the spikelets are (in mm. and fractions of mm.), and whether they are smooth or hairy. But failing that, I’ll take a stab at it: roundfruit panic grass, Dichanthelium sphaerocarpon. Those relatively wide blades that almost appear to clasp the stem are what I’m going by. It’s certainly a panic grass, anyhow, and one of the species that flowers twice each season, which makes it a Dichanthelium. The most confusing group of grasses there is in NJ.
