    Neat stuff! That’s strawberry goosefoot, aka strawberry blite, Chenopodium capitatum. It’s a native plant but I’ve never seen it growing wild. Not sure if I’ve ever seen it. Those fruits are edible. Leaves are also edible in moderation. You should be able to look it up on line and get more detailed information on edibility.

    This is an overdue thanks for your reply! Please tell me how you found the strawberry goosefoot id. I was so frustrated at not being able to find mention of such a striking looking plant. Now I’m working on another id, but I am determined to look harder before getting help!
